Red Vape recently got in touch to send me a bunch of their e-liquids, and I’ll be honest, I got super excited about them. I had a sneaky peek at their website, and it doesn’t look like your average vape website. When you take a look at the liquids they have on offer, you realise this isn’t your average eliquid brand either. These are seriously sophisticated liquids, with some seriously sophisticated flavours.
In case you’d never heard of Red Vape before, they’re a company who have been around since 2013, so they’re pretty new in the world of vaping. Their goal is to provide vapers with luxury, high-quality, UK-made e-liquid that tasted great, and if we’re going by first impressions and appearances alone, I was already impressed the second I checked out the website.
They call them their “luxury eliquid collections” – Gran Reserva, Reserva, Premium and Guest Liquids, and if we’re going by appearance alone, they certainly deserve the name. They’re not actually that expensive either. Not when you consider that these liquids come in the most beautiful little glass bottles I’ve ever seen. I have already used an entire bottle, washed it out, and then refilled it from a larger sub-ohm 60ml bottle. Just saying. Re-using the glass bottles is worth it alone. Well, not quite, but almost!
(It’s hard work finding good e-liquid that comes in glass bottles that *don’t* leak all over the place!)
Moving aside from the excitement of the cool glass bottles (I’ll quit talking about them now), lets take a look at what I thought about the actual liquid itself, in the Red Vape Eliquid review. Comfortable? Let’s get started.
Red Vape Eliquid Review
I received one big bottle and four smaller bottles, and these are 30ml and 15ml respectively. There are four different ‘types’ to choose from also – Gran Reserva, Reserva, Premium, and then Guest Liquids. As of yet, I haven’t tried any of the Gran Reserva range, but I’ve tried one from the Reserva range – Shade (the one I got the big 30ml bottle of), and four of the Premium range – Havana Dark, Havana Gold, Angel Berry, and Trinity Creme.
For 30ml of the Gran Reserva Imperius XV, you’ll pay £24.95.
For 30ml of the Reserva, you’ll pay £19.95.
For 15ml of the Premium, you’ll pay £9.99.
The prices are slightly higher than you may pay elsewhere, put you are paying for UK-made eliquid, as well as those fabulous glass bottles. You can reuse them, they’re worth the money you’ll pay for them, that’s all I’m saying.
Now for the flavours themselves …
Red Vape Reserva – Shade
This was my 30ml bottle, and I got it in 12mg, which is the highest strength they do. You can pick from 0mg, 3mg, 6mg, and 12mg. I should probably also add that these are for REGULAR vaping, and NOT sub-ohm vaping.
The website says this about the Reserva Shade eliquid:
“A smooth vape using a medium strength tobacco provide a delicious authentic taste that will keep you coming back for more.”
I actually don’t think this was the smoothest tobacco tasting e-liquid I’ve tried, but it certainly wasn’t unpleasant. Out of the three tobacco flavours I tried, this was probably the harshest of the lot, so I would say this falls on the stronger side of ‘medium’.
It’s a good, well-rounded tobacco flavour, definitely flavoursome, although it has a woody undertone to it. I liked it, but it’s a tobacco eliquid I would much prefer to vape after dinner rather than at breakfast. If I vape with this first thing in the morning, it makes me cough a little. It’s too heavy and harsh for my poor morning lungs. Perhaps I should opt for the 6mg if I were to order this again? (Which I would for the taste.)
Red Vape Premium – Havana Dark
This was a 15ml bottle, and I received this one in 6mg which I actually found very pleasant to vape. Going back to the point I made previously about the Red Vape Reserva – Shade, I definitely think I would have had better luck with it if I had gone down a strength. I imagined this Havana Dark liquid was going to be too dark and too gruff for me like the Shade was, but it wasn’t at all. Havana Gold was the first bottle I finished, and Havana Dark (this one) was the second.
The website says this about it:
“A true cigar flavour that is smooth to vape. Those with a sensitive palate may pick up subtle peppery notes as well as a hint of cocoa and nuts. A long lasting and pleasant aftertaste.”
I think I agree with that – it’s definitely got a twang to it, although I didn’t automatically detect ‘peppery notes’. There’s a sweetness to it too, but only a very discreet one, and it’s really rich. Definitely smooth to vape, and definitely one I’d buy again for sure.
Red Vape Premium – Havana Gold
Our of all the ones I tried, this one was my favourite. It was a really smooth and subtle tobacco flavour, not quite as ‘dark’ and full-bodied as the Havana Dark, and definitely nowhere near as harsh and gruff as the Reserva Shade.
Once again, the website states:
“An elegant smooth vape for the tobacco purist. Havano Gold delivers a good throat hit and has a slight sweetness on the exhale. Peppery notes from the Corojo tobacco come through to offer a cigar like vaping experience.”
Another one I won’t disagree with. Much smoother and with less flavour than the Havana Gold, but enough of a flavour to know it’s tobacco. Well, cigar-like. This was the first bottle I devoured, and it’s one I’m already adding to my next order. It’s lush. Definitely my favourite of all the tobacco ones I’ve tried recently, and trust me when I tell you I’ve tried a few. This one might be one of my all-time favourite tobacco flavours.
Red Vape Premium – Trinity Creme
I really enjoyed vaping with this Red Vape eliquid at first, but after repeated use, I just found it a little too sickly for my liking. If you enjoy a sweet, vanilla-nutmeg-style liquid, this one is definitely for you. It’s lush, but I’m not the biggest fan of lots of sweet stuff. This one was lots of sweet stuff.
“A silky smooth vape with rich custard flavours complimented by caramel and nutmeg. With great vapour production this delicious juice can be enjoyed any time of day.”
Don’t get me wrong, the last thing I would want you to think is that this Red Vape eliquid is bad, because it’s really, really not. It’s a lovely vanilla flavour, but with a twist – a warm hint of what we (Dan and I) thought could be nutmeg BEFORE we read the website description. It was very enjoyable – the flavour is lovely, and even the vapour smells delicious. It made my room smell better than any candle could have done. Plus it has the smoothest flavour to it too – very easy to vape, even at just 6mg where I would normally have gone for 12mg. It’s just packed with flavour. You’re definitely getting the punch you pay for with this yummy liquid.
Red Vape Premium – Angel Berry
This one was the last one I tried, mostly because it said on the website that it was a berry-minty mix, and we all know I’m not the biggest fan of minty-anything when it comes to vaping. That’s much more Dan’s forte. However, I figured I’d give this one a try because I’d had such great success with the rest of them, so vape-on I did.
I actually thought this eliquid tasted a little bit like Archers and lemonade but I’m not entirely sure Dan agreed with me. I stand by my choice, which is a shame because I don’t like Archers therefore I don’t like this eliquid. The website doesn’t even mention peach though, so there’s a good chance I’m wrong about this…
“It provides a smooth and satisfying fruity hit with a fresh minty finish on the exhale. A perfect all day vape and a definite must have if you enjoy fruit notes in your juice.”
Dan quite liked it when he tried it after me, but we both stated it wasn’t our favourite of the bunch. It was just a weird combination of flavours for me. I’m not really a fan of mint though, and I don’t really think mint and berries belong together. Berries and ice cream, on the other hand … well, that’s a different matter entirely.
It’s packed with flavour, so if you like the sound of this combo you’ll probably enjoy it quite a lot. I’m sure there are some vapers out there that would love this fruity-fresh flavour from Red Vape, but it’s not for me. Sorry guys, not the biggest fan.
Red Vape Eliquid Review – Conclusion
I really liked this e-liquid range, and I didn’t find one that I didn’t like. My favourites out of them all were Red Vape Premium – Havana Gold and Havana Dark, and also the Red Vape Reserva – Shade. The Havana’s were the two that I went through the quickest, and the two that I would definitely order again.
Flavour-wise, these are packed full of it. A lot of liquids have a great sounding flavour, but when it comes down to the nitty-gritty – actually vaping with it – the flavour just doesn’t last. It either tastes great for the first few puffs and starts to taste stale after that, or the flavour is just lacking in general. I didn’t find this to be the case with the Red Vape eliquid range. Quite the opposite.
The price is higher with these liquids than with some of the other brands on the market, but there’s a good reason for that. You’re paying for some pretty quality packaging to start with, and that’s before you even start on the fact that the flavours are brilliant, and they’re all UK-made too. No dodgy stuff in this range of e-liquids, thank you very much.
*I hate buying non-UK made e-liquid now. I don’t feel there’s any need to buy from outside the UK, especially with so many decent brands made here now. Plus you never know what’s in them … I just wouldn’t want to risk it.
All in all, I can’t think of a single reason why I wouldn’t recommend Red Vape e-liquids to you. I loved them, clearly evident from this Red Vape eliquid review, and if you’re in the market for some new luxury flavours, these are definitely the ones I would go for.
As a final note, I also think these Red Vape eliquids would make great gifts for vapers. The bottles are really luxurious and classy looking, and a couple of these in a little homemade gift box would look super expensive. Christmas is coming up … Just saying. I already told Red Vape that they should offer these in gift boxes for such an occasion. What do you think?
I loved these, and I’d definitely recommend you give them a peek for yourself. There’s a decent range of flavours, and they really are as good as they sound too. 5/5 Red Vape. Well done!
