Good morning, vape world! What’s happening? What’s new? Got any gossip? I don’t have gossip, but I do have the BEAR Flavors Koala eliquid review that I’d quite like to share with you — another of the range that DOESN’T contain cooling agent.
Just in case you’re looking for more eliquid that doesn’t contain cooling agent, I’ve put them all nice and neatly together here.
I talk about BEAR Flavors in a little more detail, specifically as far as the creators of the brand are concerned — VapeFindr — in my previous review of Panda. And if you’re a fan of Jammie Dodgers, you’re going to want to read it > BEAR Flavors Panda Eliquid Review. (It’s fricking delightful and one of my cold-weather faves!)
There are five different flavours — Panda, Koala, Grizzly, Polar, and Sun. I love the bear theme they’ve got going on. Super cute.
I had 4x10ml tubs of each flavour, sent by Vape Club, all 3mg. I don’t seem to be able to find those on the website anymore (weird?) but you can buy them directly from the VapeFindr shop. It’s £14.99 for a 50ml bottle, into which you should add a 10ml nicotine shot. The nic shots are not included.
Frustratingly, the VapeFindr website doesn’t give you that much information on the eliquid itself. I couldn’t find the VG/PG details, or whether or not it contained cooling agent. Those are two quite important details for a lot of vapers (in my opinion), so I think that all websites should them.
BEAR Flavors Koala Eliquid Review
It simply states “MAX VG” on the tub, but the individual bottles state 80/20 VG/PG, and you can also see if you look closely on the ingredients listed on the tub.
I used a couple of bottles of this juice in different devices. As well as the Aspire Cleito EXO with a 0.4-ohm coil, I also vaped Koala in the Jac Vapour VIM, Jac Vapour Series-S22 tank + Series-B DNA 75W box + 0.5-ohm DTL (sub ohm) coil, and also the [non-TPD] Innokin Scion tank on various boxes.
I like it. Quite a lot, actually.
“Citrus ice-cream popsicle for those sunny days in the bush.”
The ingredients are listed (in order) as: lemon, lime, strawberry and pineapple.
Sounds bloody delightful, doesn’t it? Well, it is.
This eliquid smells amazing, like those Twister ice creams that are fabulous all summer long, no matter what your age. I can’t tell you how excited I was to tear right into Koala, dripping it into the tank of my Jac Vapour Series-S22 tank + 0.5-ohm DTL (sub-ohm) coil + Vapour2 Trinity box, and kicking things off at 25 watts.
I REALLY love this eliquid, and that surprised me an awful lot. To start with, I find most lime-based eliquids super dry and they leave me with dry mouth too much for me to enjoy vaping them. Secondly, I’m much more of a dessert eliquid kinda gal than a fruity one. I absolutely LOVED Panda, and I thought that one might have been my favourite of the gang. It might come joint second with this little treat. Koala really is a very nice juice.
Do you remember the “old days” when everything tasted like it was supposed to? Back when food didn’t come in miniature. Twisters are SO MUCH smaller now than they used to be, I’m sure of it. Don’t even get me started on how watered-down they taste now. I actually think that Koala tastes just how Twisters used to taste … How they tasted back when I was a kid and one of those green, swirly ice creams was a summer-Sunday treat.
“Muuuuuuuuuuuuuuum, I can hear the ice cream man. Can I have a pound, please?”
And you could get actually get an ice cream for a pound back then, too. 99’s were actually 99p. Those 99’s are about four quid now. Do you remember when the lemony-lime tang in a Twister was so deliciously citrusy that it would make your face scrunch up in all sorts of unattractive ways, too? And the strawberry stuff in the middle would bring it back to a more palatable level, along with that lovely pineapple bit? Well, that’s kinda what this eliquid reminded me of — the good ol’ days. The BEST days! None of this watered-down flavour business. I’m not happy about that at all.
So, yeah, just to recap: Koala by BEAR Flavors is an absolute bloody treat. A real Twistery-treat.
Throat Hit & Vapour
I actually found this eliquid super smooth in all of my setups, and it’s definitely one that I could vape all day. It’s one of those versatile juices, too. When I used the Jac Vapour Series-S22 tank and Vapour2 Trinity box at 25watts, it was smooth enough for me to vape on right after I’ve just woken up. And I need something REALLY smooth for when I wake up.
In the Aspire Cleito EXO tank at 35-40 watts, however, I found it a tad gruffer on the throat. It also kicked up a decent amount of cloud, too, considering the EXO is pretty pants for that.
BEAR Flavors Koala Eliquid Review — Conclusion
Another non-cooling agent liquid from the BEAR Flavors range, I got really nostalgic as I put Koala through its paces. I was flooded with memories of playing football in the street with the kids who lived up the street. Grazed knees and messy faces. Coming home when we started to see the streetlights flicker. Getting beyond excited when we heard the tinkling of an ice cream van coming our way.
Oh, to be a kid again! That was the life, eh?
Would I buy BEAR Flavors Koala eliquid again? 100% yes. I’m head over heels in love with it. I’ve done all 4 bottles in the tub, and I can definitely see myself buying more. Smooth, zesty, and just a little bit sweet … I’m a big fan!
Would I recommend BEAR Flavors Koala eliquid to you? If you’re a big fan of fruity flavours, I think you’re really going to like this one. Even if you’re NOT a fan of a citrusy blend, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by this one. It’s tangy, yes, but it’s a really smooth tanginess that doesn’t grab you by the throat. I’d recommend this to newbies and vape veterans alike.
