ECigaretteDirect very nicely recently sent me a MASSIVE bottle of Cheap Thrills eliquid, and if you follow me on Facebook, you may have spotted my ‘first impressions’ video via Facebook live. In case you didn’t see, you’ll find the link to that video HERE.
But, cool name aside, what else do you need to know about Cheap Thrills eliquid? Well, before I get started with the e-liquid, you should know a little bit about ECigaretteDirect if you don’t know of them already. I recently tried their Halo range of eliquids, and you can find the full review for that here:
They’ve been featured in a whole bunch of places, from Cosmopolitan magazine to The Mail, Sky News, BBC One, The Sun … In short, they’ve got quite the following, and when you take a peek at the products on offer, you can understand why. With a range of liquids and vaporisers alike, they might just be your next one-stop shop for all things vape-related.
Coming back to Cheap Thrills, and here’s a few points you should be aware of:
- They’re made in the UK
- They’re also tested in the UK
- You can find full test certificates for EACH individual e-liquid on the website
- Each bottle has a ‘batch no.’, and a BBE date too
- They’re a VG:PG mix of 70:30
- They’re for sub-ohm tanks / devices
- They only come in 60ml bottles
- They’ll set you back £24.99 / 60ml
(That’s just over £4 for 10ml)
I love all of that so far. I’d prefer to only vape with UK-made and tested e-liquids these days, so they score a big winning tick for that one alone, and I also love the fact that you can get them in these big 60ml bottles. The smaller 10ml bottles can be really messy and fiddly with sub-ohm liquid, and I would recommend you stock up on these while you have the chance. The TPD has changed all things vape-related, and you won’t be able to buy e-liquid bottles bigger than 10ml soon.
£24.99 for a 60ml bottle is a really good price, especially when we’re talking about e-liquid for sub-ohm devices which (I’ve found) tends to be a little more expensive than the ‘regular’ stuff. Pure Evil’s Jam Nation is £9.99 for a 20ml bottle, and if we’re talking flavour / taste, that’s a close comparison. Per 10ml, that’s £5, so the Cheap Thrills stuff actually works out cheaper. (And I think it tastes so much better … )
Cheap Thrills – Glory Glaze
I loved the Pure Evil Jam Nation stuff I tried before (from Vapouriz), so I was super excited to try this tasty treat from Cheap Thrills / ECigaretteDirect. After taking a peek at the website, I could see it was meant to taste like ‘glazed doughnut’, and who doesn’t like a good glazed doughnut?
I poured the stuff into my tank (the Vape Direct Voyage Sub Ohm Mini Kit, for anyone who wants to know), and started vaping. (Again, take a peek at the video for my very first impressions!) These are the notes I scribbled down for my Cheap Thrills eliquid review …
Firstly, I LOVED the packaging. It’s very 80’s themed, colourful, and bright which means I love it. I am the rainbow girl, after all. The big box and bottle were a winner for me, and the bottle itself is glass. I hate cheap plastic bottles for my sub-ohm liquid. I don’t really know why.
Secondly, the r-e-a-l-l-y long glass dripper made things a tad fiddly, but only because I wasn’t used to it at first. It would be pointless having a small dripper because then you wouldn’t be able to reach the bottom of the bottle, and there’s nothing more frustrating when you’re running out of your favourite liquid.
Moving on to the vapour, and there’s loads of it! If you’re a big fan of big clouds, this one is a winner. It provided loads of vapour, and I don’t think my device is even that powerful. I was impressed by that. Very impressed. (Although the cat wasn’t after I fogged up my room in about three minutes …)
Now we come to the taste … Did I like it? YES! I LOVED it! I really like the Jam Nation one from Pure Evil / Vapouriz, but this one is much more flavoursome I think. It’s got a really fruity blueberry jam flavour with just the right amount of doughnut to it … It actually tastes likes a glazed jam doughnut. Isn’t that all you want?
Cheap Thrills Eliquid Review – Conclusion
I really liked this liquid. Like really, really liked it. Loved it, in fact. I’ve even found myself reaching for my sub-ohm device over my regular vape too, something that doesn’t happen that often. It’s a really enjoyable flavour to vape, and it’s one I’m definitely going to buy again. Plus the vapour smells lush and I love that. It saves me spending a small fortune on scented candles … 😉
If you’re looking for a good dessert-flavoured e-liquid, and you love a good jam doughnut, this eliquid is definitely for you. It’s a good quality liquid, not too thick or gloopy, and I love the bigger 60ml bottles. I would have ended up buying a bunch of smaller bottles in one go anyway.
I’d say to stock up now on these while you still have the chance. At £24.99, it’s really not a bad price, and it’s a great flavour so I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
A very positive Cheap Thrills eliquid review I’d say, wouldn’t you? Don’t forget to come back and let me know what you thought about the Cheap Thrills range of e-liquid if you try it for yourself. I’m particularly interested in anyone who’s tried the Rush Rush Yayo! flavour. I’m not a big fan of watermelon, so I don’t want to buy it if I won’t end up liking it …
So … I decided to update this Cheap Thrills eliquid review because, after a few weeks of using Glory Glaze, I noticed I was burning through coils at an alarming rate. I don’t know if you’ve ever experienced this, but there are certain types, brands, and favours of e-liquid that are thicker or gloopier, and therefore worse for burning through coils quicker. I think this one might be one of them.
I’ve used this liquid in a number of devices – the Vape Direct Voyage Sub Ohm Mini Kit with the tank that comes with it, and also the Kangertech Nano Topbox with the tank and coils that were included in the kit. Dan has used the same liquid in a number of devices also, and we’ve both agreed the same thing – this liquid just zooms through your coils. It tastes great and I really enjoy vaping with it, but with long term use, you might just find that the bottle of liquid itself isn’t the only expense you’ll need to deal with. I went through three coils in two weeks, and that’s just too many for me. That’s when my vaping habit starts to cost me a fortune, and that goes against the point of switching from smoking to vaping in the first place.
