Exceptional Vapes Chubby Juice Caribbean Crush Eliquid Review

[AD – Gifted by VapeMail]

Hello! Bonjour! How’s it going? I’ve been vaping on some Exceptional Vapes Chubby Juice Caribbean Crush for a few weeks now, and I’d like to talk about the fruity flavour for a little bit if that’s okay?

I’m going to pretend you said yes.

Exceptional Vapes Caribbean Crush Eliquid Review

Caribbean Crush is one of the eliquids I got my hands on when VapeMail sent me their subscription package to try. I’ve actually been sent two packages now. The first one contained this flavour alongside Cremeux by Drip Hacks, Blue Moo by My Baker Vapor, and Red Slush by The Slush Machine …

Four flavours I definitely wouldn’t have ordered myself.

This is the second Exceptional Vapes eliquid flavour I’ve had the pleasure of trying. So far the UK-based brand has been a massive hit. It’s not a brand I’d tried before the VapeMail subscription box turned up, and it’s probably not a brand I would have gone out of my way to buy either. That’s the beauty of these subscription boxes — you might just find something new to love.

I like that the Exceptional Vapes website has the eliquids broken down into ‘ice’ and ‘no ice’ [cooling agent], and after taking a peek through the ‘no ice’ section, I can see a few flavours that I’m definitely, 100%, absolutely planning to try. Parma Violets sounds right up my street, and Jam Roly Poly & Custard is definitely something I’d be interested in. Twister Ice Lolly. Ripple. I should probably stop …

I had a good look around the internet to find more information about this eliquid flavour as mine came as part of a monthly subscription service — VapeMail — and not from a ‘store’ as such. Google takes me to a ‘Page Not Found’ on the Exceptional Vapes website, and the flavour seems to be out of stock everywhere else I looked. Maybe it’s a discontinued eliquid? It’s a real shame. The flavour is actually delightful.

It’s sub-ohm eliquid — 70/30 VG/PG.

I added 1 x Drip Hacks nicotine salts shot 20mg to give me 60ml of 3mg juice.

The eliquid was left to steep for 4 weeks before testing.

I taste-tested Chubby Juice Caribbean Crush in the Aspire Cleito EXO tank + 0.4-ohm coil, on top of the Jac Vapour Series-B DNA 75W box, at 40-45 watts. Anything above 45 watts started to get a bit too warm for my liking, but the flavour of the eliquid didn’t get distorted until I’d reached 58 watts. Just in case you were wondering.

I’m not sure if this eliquid is meant to have cooling agent in it or not. I don’t personally think it does have it, but there is a twang that could possibly be attributed to the icy stuff. Or not. I’m honestly not sure. It could go either way. (I’m so helpful today … Lolz!)

Nope. I don’t think it does have cooling agent in there. I’m not a big fan of the stuff so I reckon I’d definitely know, ya know?

I thought I might try Caribbean Crush to see if I could figure out the *exact* flavours that make it up before looking more into the flavour description on the website. Admittedly, it was a truckload easier after not being able to find the flavour (or a description) on the site at all. Caribbean Crush seems pretty self-explanatory, though — tropical fruits. But what kind of tropical fruits? Could I make them out?

Chubby Juice Caribbean Crush

I think I can taste a hint of coconut, quite a lot of pineapple, and a hint of something else, but I’m not really sure what. From the name, I really did expect there to be an overwhelming smack in the face from cooling agent, but it has none of that. It has more of a ‘lactic acid’ twang than an icy twang, and it’s more warming than cooling. And it has the same kind of fizzy-sour twang that you get from Vape Dodo’s Forbidden Peach. Very acid-yoghurt-like. That makes sense, right?

I was a little worried I’d find some banana in there (I hate the stuff), but there’s none of that. Not that I could find, anyway. I actually couldn’t find a single reason to moan about Caribbean Crush, which I think says a lot!

After having a look around, I found this description on

“Caribbean crush giving us all that totally tropical taste! One for the hot days, pineapple and grapefruit and a whole mixed blend of tropical fruits will leave your tastebuds screaming for more.”

Exceptional Vapes Chubby Juice Caribbean Crush

I’ve looked a few descriptions of Exceptional Vapes Chubby Juice Caribbean Crush and not a single one of them mentions coconut, but I’m convinced I get a hint of it. Maybe I’m just making it up? It’s definitely got that tropical pineapple-coconut burst about it whatever the case.

The one component I couldn’t guess was grapefruit. Bizarrely, I’ve never been able to correctly guess grapefruit in any eliquid flavour … ever. Maybe it just doesn’t taste like a proper, authentic, ‘real’ grapefruit when it’s in eliquid form, I don’t know? I’m assuming that’s what gives the flavour it’s almost-acidic twang, though?

Either way, no banana and lots of Caribbean tropical-ness = a really tasty flavour. And it does taste like a Caribbean-themed drink. Very enjoyable, most notably because of that lack of cooling agent. I think it would have ruined the flavour completely had it been there.

Caribbean Crush Chubby Juice

This one surprised me a lot, and that was mostly because of the lack of cooling agent/ice. It has “crush” in the name, which would usually suggest crushed ice or something similar, wouldn’t it? That’s what I thought. But because of the lack of cooling agent, it’s one that I would remember to buy again if I wanted something Caribbean’y.

The actual flavour of Caribbean Crush lasts — it’s not one of those eliquids that tastes really great at the beginning, but seems to be a bit crappy after you’ve vaped a couple of tanks of it. Every time I pick up my vape I get really good, fruity, tangy flavour.

Caribbean Crush by Exceptional Vapes

Would I buy Caribbean Crush by Exceptional Vapes again? Yes. I’m more of a cakey eliquid girl than a fruity one, so a flavour like this would usually last me longer than something like Lemon Lush by The Rochford Project, but I’d definitely want to replace Caribbean Crush once it runs out.

Would I recommend Caribbean Crush by Exceptional Vapes to you? I very much liked this eliquid and would highly recommend it if you’re in the market for a tropical/Caribbean-themed flavour that doesn’t smack you in the face with icy cooling agent. It’s not really “refreshing”, more sweet and warming with a hint of tang. For me, it’s perfect. You’d be surprised how tough it is to find a Caribbean-style eliquid that doesn’t contain banana, lots of cooling agent, or watermelon — three things I simply can’t stand.
