GoVype or Vype is a brand that seems to be going from strength to strength, and although some of their models got off to a somewhat shaky start, newer advances in their technology have allowed them to release vaporisers that are completely different from most others on the market. With a market as saturated as the e-cig one, that’s saying something, although that’s all set to change with the introduction of the TPD.
The newest release from Vype is, once again, a vaporiser like no other – the Vype Pebble. A “small and mighty” vaporiser that is apparently as powerful as it is compact, the Pebble fits into your hand, making it super discreet. Although to be fair, it becomes less discreet when you see the array of colours on offer – yellow, red, blue, green, and black. I’m not really sure what it looks like, but I wouldn’t say it looks like a vaporiser. Definitely not your typical run-of-the-mill vaporiser, that’s for sure.
So, aside from fitting into your palm, what else does the Vype Pebble have to offer? I’m going to be honest, I’m not 100% sure. It offers “all day charge” but doesn’t appear to give you any information as to battery size or capacity, although the website does state that you can fully recharge the unit within the hour.
Aside from that, the Pebble has an anti-leak system. In my experience, this has always worked pretty well with the previous models – the ePen, eBox, and eTank included. I’ve tried and reviewed all of those, so check out the links if you’d like to know more.
“Palm-sized” is cute, but I’m wondering what the battery capacity here is. I don’t really understand how it can last you all day, but still be small enough to fit very nicely in your hand, and still only take an hour to charge. I also couldn’t seem to find any information on the battery capacity anywhere. Perhaps I should give them a shout-out on Twitter and find out? (Unless anyone else has managed to find the information? Feel free to let me know in the comments below!)
An over-charge protection feature is good to know … If you’re anything like me, you’ll leave your vaporisers plugged in and charging for longer than you’re meant to. There’s a battery temperature protection feature too, something I also liked. Many of the vaporisers I’ve tried and reviewed over the years have gotten really hot! Uncomfortably so, in some cases.
The Vype Pebble starter kit is £17.99, and this gives you everything you need to start vaping – the Pebble device itself, plus a USB charger, user guide, and a Golden Tobacco cartridge. From the looks of things, only one strength is on offer right now – 18mg (or 1.8%). Perhaps if it sells well enough, they’ll add more strengths to the mix. Perhaps they’re already in the process of being made?
It looks cool enough, and it’s certainly cheap enough, and colourful enough for that matter. The advert is eye-catching (and a little annoying, I’ll be honest), but it encouraged me to delve a little deeper into this new and innovative new vape design so it’s done the trick!
Will I be buying the Vype Pebble? Probably, just because I’ve tried the rest of the range so it doesn’t make sense not to. Plus, you must admit, it does look pretty cool. It might not be for the most hardcore of vapers, but for discreet and fun vaping, it might just be perfect!
