Nasty Juice Slow Blow Eliquid Review [NS10 Pods]

[AD – Gifted by Vape Club] Hello, vapers, what’s happening with you lovely lot? What have you all been vaping with lately? I’ve been vaping with the Aspire Gusto Mini again, and I’d like to share my Nasty Juice Slow Blow eliquid review with you today.

Nasty Juice Slow Blow Eliquid Review 1

Nasty Juice is a brand that I’d not personally tried before this pod arrived on my doorstep, although I’d seen it around in quite a few places. It’s a Malaysian eliquid company and one that has won a whole bunch of awards. Vapouraround gave them Best Branding & Marketing, as well as Industry Leader for the 2018 awards, and there are some Vape Jam awards (Best Fruit TPD Eliquid), VapeCon KL2 2017 (Best Fruity, and Best Branding), Vaper Expo UK, Vape Expo Poland … I could be here for a while. They’ve won a bunch of awards, let’s just leave it at that.

“Nasty Juice is a 21st century obnoxious e-juice brand, with passion at its heart.”

It actually says that on their website. I like the brand a lot more already.

Nasty Juice Slow Blow Eliquid Review 2

Founded in 2015, there’s a few interesting flavours and ranges under the brand name, including Cush Man Series – 100% Diketone Free (Diacetyl & Acetyl), Nasty Ballin, Nasty Berry, and NastyXKilo – 100% Diketone Free (Diacetyl & Acetyl). If you’re interested in checking out some of the other eliquid ranges from Nasty Juice, you’ll find them on the Vape Club website here. (Vape Club sent me this wonderful parcel.)

Nasty Juice Slow Blow Eliquid Review 3

I talk a lot about nicotine salt-based eliquids and the benefits of them in my last Gusto pod review — Element Honey Roasted Tobacco Eliquid Review [NS20 Pods]. In short, you get your nicotine hit in fewer inhales. You get it quicker, and more intensely, so you’ll use your device less frequently. That’s the theory, anyway. To be fair, I *do* find myself using the Aspire Gusto Mini less frequently than I do other devices. So much so, in fact, that a 2ml pod can last me for a couple of days when I’m mouth-to-lung vaping.

I didn’t MTL vape with this pod, though. It was one of those flavours that I preferred as a sub-ohm eliquid, with big clouds.

Flavour description:

“NS10 and NS20 Slow Blow eliquid pods by Nasty Juice is a tropical fruit blend with a cool finish. A combination of pineapple and zesty lime creates a sweet yet sharp taste throughout, complemented by an ice exhale thanks to added mint.”

So … we know it has cooling agent in it. Or coolada. Koolada. Whatever you like to call it. I always groan a little when I see an “ice” addition in an eliquid. I’m sorry to be so blunt, but I find that it can ruin a really good flavour. Don’t get me wrong, some juices benefit from that little icy rush, but other flavours would have been just fine on their own.

Is that the case with this one?

A little bit, but I actually don’t mind the icy hit on this one. It’s a lot less icy than I thought it might be, especially when you combine it with the tang of a citrus fruit flavour. Thankfully, this cooling agent eliquid didn’t grab me by the back of the throat like so many others have. It’s more of a warm and sweet mint than a harsh, chilly one.

Nasty Juice Slow Blow Eliquid Review 5

Okay, so, this was a nice juice. By that I mean, it wasn’t unpleasant. But I didn’t really get it. I don’t think I could taste enough of the pineapple or lime to work out what the flavours were, and despite not being the biggest fan of cooling agent eliquids, I actually wished this one had a little more of an icy kick. It was just a bit … blah.

Nasty Juice Slow Blow Eliquid Review 6

I probably would have guessed tangy fruits with a menthol kick had I blind taste-tested this pod, but I would never have been able to pinpoint lime or pineapple. I actually wondered if it had a berry addition at one point, or maybe Aloe Vera or something like that. There was a twang of something in there, but I don’t think it’s obvious what it is. I also don’t think it has the greatest amount of flavour, and the flavour seemed to fade quite a lot the more I made my way through a pod. If the start of the pod was about 3.5 out of 5 for flavour, the end of the pod would barely reach 1 out of 5. Maybe I just got serious vaper’s tongue?

Nasty Juice Slow Blow Eliquid Review 12

Being a cooling agent eliquid I expected this one to grab me and make me cough a bit, as so many others do, but it didn’t. There wasn’t enough of the icy kick for that. The flavour is very easy on the throat and smooth to vape, though, and the vapour production was decent, but when comparing this one to some of the Element Eliquids pods for the Aspire Gusto Mini I’ve tried, I just don’t think I’d remember it.

I sub-ohm vaped this pod. Actually, if I’m being really honest about this, I attempted to MTL it first, but there was something about it that I wasn’t the biggest fan of, so I switched the drip tip out for a wider one and started sub-ohm vaping instead.

Nasty Juice Slow Blow Eliquid Review 7

One pod lasted me for a little over a day, but I wasn’t as excited and eager to grab the device as much as I have been with other flavours. I like the flavour. It’s quite refreshing, and one that I think I might enjoy in the summer. I didn’t LOVE the flavour, though. I won’t remember it. It doesn’t stand out for pineapple flavours or lime flavours. Or even menthol flavours.

A bit of an up n’ down review, this one, but I don’t dislike the taste. I just don’t think it has enough taste. It came across as a diluted version of what it’s meant to be, ya know?

Would I buy Nasty Juice Slow Blow eliquid again? I’m probably not going to buy this one again. I did enjoy vaping the three pods I had, but it’s not a taste that particularly appealed to me enough to buy again, nor did it stand out for me.

Nasty Juice Slow Blow Eliquid Review 8

Would I recommend it to you? I don’t wish to be a b*itch about this, but I think there are better pineapple-slash-lime-slash-menthol flavours out there. I can recall a BEAR Flavors eliquid flavour that was similar, although it didn’t have the menthol kick and rocked a stronger taste. (It’s called Koala — lemon, lime, strawberry and pineapple.)

This one, to me, just didn’t stand out enough. I won’t remember it. It’s a decent flavour, but not one that I’d personally pick up again. I am interested in seeing what else Nasty Juice has to offer, though. Some of the other ranges/flavours look interesting, and I have seen rave reviews for a few of them.

Have you tried any?

What would YOU suggest I try next?
