I’m going to be honest, I didn’t like the Really Electronic Cigarette website at all. I don’t know if it is just me, but I get really fussy about the little details such as web design, packaging, etc. I think, in a competitive market such as electronic cigarettes, it pays to stand out from the crowd and their website really didn’t do that.
Clicking on “Starter Kits” and you’ll notice that there are a few different types and models that you can choose from, which is always a good thing. With both CE4 and CEO tanks available, you may even find that some of these are compatible with some of the other e-cigarette batteries and tanks you already have at home. They also offer the Mini Premium Kit, which is your standard cigalike, and a range of batteries too from the smaller 650mA ones, to bigger, 1100mAh beauties which should (in theory) last you for the entire day.
Let’s find out which ones I went for, and what I thought about them, in the Really Electronic Cigarettes Review….
Really EGO-CE4 1100mAh Deluxe Kit – £34.99
Now, the first thing I will say in favour of the brand, it would seem they have really dropped their prices. This kit was originally £69.99, and not only will you get it at the cheaper price of £34.99, but with my exclusive Really Electronic Cigarettes discount code, you will also save 10% off that too!
You’ll be getting this kit for just £31.49!
The Really EGO-CE4 1100mA Deluxe Kit will give you two tank-style e-cigarettes – two batteries (110mAh), two cartomisers, and the USB charger. Also, if you order now, you’ll get the carry case for free.
It’s actually everything you need to get started. Except for e-liquid – you’ll need to add that on to your order.
The batteries were impressive, I’ll give them that. In this Really Electronic Cigarettes review, I’d say the battery was one of the more outstanding features. The packaging of the e-cig didn’t appeal to me much. I feel the brand comes across a little outdated.
I went with the silver batteries, but you have the option of black and white as well as chrome (the silver one).
1100mA batteries would generally give you around ten to eleven hours of ‘regular’ puffing. If you sit at home all day, chain-puffing on your electronic cigarette, you are going to go through the battery much quicker, but the ‘average’ user is someone like me – one that once smoked 20+ cigarettes per day.
Really Electronic Cigarettes batteries didn’t let the side down. I actually think I got about 11-12 hours of usage out of it before it needed to be recharged, and that’s actually very impressive.
If it’s battery power you’re looking for, this isn’t a bad one to go for.
There are a number of additional batteries on offer if you’re looking for something smaller, or variable. The variable voltage batteries are available in 900mAh capacity, but you can also get 1100 and 650mAh too.
Again, they have recently dropped their prices, starting at £6.99 and going up to £14.99.
As this Really Electronic Cigarettes review is starting to show – value for money seems to be one of their strongest points.
Cartomisers / Tanks
I tried two different tanks from Really Electronic Cigarettes. The first CE4 Clearomiser that I got with the original starter kit leaked pretty badly, and it also made a very bizarre ‘bubbling’ noise when I was using it. These two issues weren’t issues at first, but after two or three days of using BOTH cartomisers, I encountered the same two problems. I’m not sure if the liquid wasn’t making its way through the cartomiser properly, but the bubbling noise was very loud. Enough for people to comment on it.
(You can find pictures of the leaking cartomiser / e-cigarette on my Instagram page!)
After I emailed their customer services department to complain about the issue, they apologised profusely, and within a couple of days, a new ‘upgraded’ tank had been sent my way, which I ended up being more than happy with.
The CEO Replaceable Clearomiser worked out much better than the original CE4, and I didn’t have the leaking problem, or the bubbling problem. In fact, I’m still using that tank with the two batteries from the original starter kit right now, and that’s a couple of weeks later. This tank – the CEO one – I would highly recommend it.
The CE4 tank or clearomiser is a very basic model, and one compatible with so many electronic cigarette brands now. It seems to be the easy, generic go-to model, and although it does the job, it’s not the most reliable.
The CEO tank or clearomiser faired much better, and didn’t feel as plastic as the CE4. It had a better build to it, with better, longer wicks, and I found that it gave a much better vaping experience.
My advice – don’t waste your time with the CE4, and go straight to the CEO. The EGO-CEO 1100mAh Classic Kit is just £18.99 (reduced from £36.99), and with my exclusive Really Electronic Cigarettes discount code, it’ll only set you back £17.09. I know you only get one battery, but I’d rather have just the one working battery (that will last you all day anyway) than two dodgy cartomisers. Right?
You could even throw a bottle of e-liquid in (Tobacco or Menthol), and this will cost you just £20.06 with my discount code! (Original price £44.99)
Throat Hit & Vapour
I didn’t think much of the CE4 for throat hit and vapour, but the liquid was pretty strong, something I’ll get to later. The air didn’t seem to be going through the clearomiser properly (hence the weird bubbling noise), which meant the vaping experience was hindered too.
On the other hand, the CEO gave a really good throat hit, and plenty of vapour too. In fact, I actually very much enjoyed using it, and I would recommend it to those that consider themselves either ‘average’ or ‘heavy’ smokers.
For now, I will say this. I would normally order 1.8% tobacco but with my order, I accidentally got 2.4%. It was definitely too strong for me. The flavoured e-liquids don’t tend to be as strong, and give a less ‘hearty’ hit, but this tobacco one was almost uncomfortably strong for me. I would imagine the 1.8% would be quite strong too, so maybe consider dropping down a nicotine strength on the tobacco flavour.
The menthol one was a real treat, and not only gave a lovely minty flavour, but plenty of throat hit and vapour too, without being overly icy. I don’t like it when the menthol ones are too harsh a hit for my throat.
Delivery & Customer Service
I have had a couple of problems with my order when the CE4 clearomisers started playing up, but the Really customer service guys were more than helpful, sending out replacements and apologising profusely for the issues. My orders have always been delivered the next day too, with the exception of the weekends, despite the five-day policy they have. Three out of three next-day orders isn’t bad!
If you have a faulty product, just send it back to them within seven days and they’ll refund it, or replace it (in my experience), but only if you get in touch with them first. You know the drill – the whole RMA procedure.
Are Really Electronic Cigarettes The Best E-Cigarettes?
If I hadn’t had the problems with the CE4 clearomisers and had gone straight for the CEO tank, I would probably have rated these guys much higher, but sadly that whole situation happened.
If you went straight for the Really EGO CEO 1100mAh Classic Kit, I think you’d be quite happy with them, with batteries that actually last the distance, and great value for money. The prices really aren’t bad, especially with their recent reductions, and I quite liked their e-liquid selection too.
Their customer services guys were more than helpful when I had issues, and overall, I would recommend them…. Just maybe the bigger models and not the smaller ones. The CEO clearomisers are a definite winner out of the selection on the website.
I’m going to rate this Really Electronic Cigarettes review with 3 stars out of 5. Not bad, but some improvement on the cheaper models definitely needed!
