Review Overview

My Score

Summary : I’d been using Vapouriz for a while because of their cheap e-liquid, but I decided to make use of a great Groupon e-cig deal I’d found online to finally try one of their e-cigarettes. I managed to bag myself the Vapouriz Fuse starter kit with five bottles of e-liquid for just under £20. Not a bad deal, right? You can find out what I thought about it (and whether it was worth the £20) right here in the Vapouriz Fuse review.

I’ve been using Vapouriz for a long time, ordering their e-liquids on a regular basis, mostly because of how cheaply they offered it but also because I really loved their flavours. One of my favourite was the Strawberry Mint but sadly they no longer make this one, although they do have Strawberry and Mint separately so I just combine the two together.

In fact, I would highly recommend you get into the habit of mixing your own flavour blends. It can get really interesting… although not always in a good way! 😉

It seems as if they have recently changed their liquid from a Chinese supplier to a UK one which is good news, but we’ll delve a little further into this later on in the Vapouriz Fuse review.

Vapouriz Fuse Starter Kit – £19.99

At just £19.99, it’s not a bad deal at all and it does give you everything to get yourself started. This is a great upgrade from the regular two-piece e-cigarettes and in actual fact, if you’re new to the world of tanks or personal vaporisers, I would highly recommend upgrading to this one.

Starter kit & e-liquid available at Vapouriz

With the starter kit you’ll bag yourself one 650mAh battery, one cartomiser, one USB charger and the cool little metal tin it all comes in. I always get excited by the packaging and I quite liked this one. It’s small enough to actually use it as a carry case, much like the one that you get with the Jac Vapour Series-E. It’s the little things that make a difference, you know?

The 650mAh battery is of a good build and it will last you a decent length of time. If I start using this at about 7am when I get up, it’ll die somewhere around the 3/4pm mark. I tend to chain puff a lot when I work at home so it will die a lot sooner than that – normally around the 12/1pm mark, but I did buy another battery not so long after I placed the Groupon order so I have two on the go – one charging while the other is in use. I am planning on adding additional batteries to my order.

Battery available at Vapouriz

Just so you know, the Vapouriz Fuse battery, charger and cartomiser do work with other e-cigs. The Kangertech EVOD accessories are also compatible but I wouldn’t recommend this. Every day I seem to hear a report of some e-cig battery blowing up because it was plugged into the wrong voltage charger from a different brand…. I’ve been using e-cigarettes for a long time and I’ve never had any problems but it just takes one, right?

You can get the starter kits (and therefore the batteries) in five different colours:

  • Black
  • Rainbow
  • Blue
  • Red
  • Purple

This particular battery has something called 5V Circuit Protection. This is important – to know that you are using a safe product when there are so many scare stories in the media definitely puts your mind at ease, especially if you’ve never used an e-cigarette that holds this much power before.

Cartomisers / Tanks

Vapouriz call them clearomisers and you can get them in three colours – pink, clear and blue. At £6.99 to replace, they are relatively cheap but on top of that, they seem to last for a while. I’ve been using the same clearomiser for about a month now and it’s still going strong.

Replacement clearomiser, battery & coil available at Vapouriz

It’s a ‘Dual Coil’ clearomiser which and it’s bottom fed too. There are a couple of things that you should know about this. For a start it means that when you unscrew it, unless you are holding it upside down, liquid WILL escape and leak all over you. There are many benefits to this bottom coil location though – you get more flavour when you inhale on it, the vapour itself is consistent all the way through the life go of the liquid in the tank, you won’t get that burnt taste that you can get with other e-cigarette tanks with higher coils, and because of the two coils – it gives you more bang for your buck.

Considering this clearomiser is under £7, it’s a very decent one!

If you wanted to replace just the coil instead of the clearomiser itself, you’re looking at about £2.99 per replacement, or a pack of five for just £9.99.. This isn’t a bad price – it ties in well with other e-cigarette brands but it gives you one boost – the dual coil thing and it’s extra power.

**Just remember that you refill the liquid from the BOTTOM so you unscrew it from the BOTTOM. If you hold it the right way up, any leftover e-liquid WILL pour all over you! **

Throat Hit & Vapour

You do notice the difference with this dual coil business and I actually found the Vapouriz Fuse to be one of the best smoking and tasting e-cigarettes I’ve tried. Everything is consistent – the puff is the same the entire way through the life of the battery and the coil / clearomiser. The same can be said for the flavours too. Although there are a few flavours I didn’t like, most of them Im a big fan of and I’ve been ordering e-liquid from here for years.

Speaking of e-liquid, I’d best give them a special mention! 😉

(Oh and if you loved the Vapouriz Fuse Review, you’ll love the Vapouriz ELiquid Review too!)

They recently changed their supplier of e-liquids from a Chinese based brand to a UK-made one and although this means the e-liquid itself will be safer to smoke and the ingredients more strictly regulated, it has changed the way the e-liquid smokes.

Sometimes the liquids break my cartomisers. I don’t really know how else to describe it but when I used the Vapouriz e-liquid in my Kangertech EVOD, I went through wicks really quickly – at least once per week. When I used a different American brand of liquid in the EVOD, I didn’t need to change the wicks for over a month. When I used Vapouriz e-liquid in the Jac Vapour Series-E, it was fine though. The Vapouriz e-liquid is also fine in the Vapouriz clearomisers… I think it’s just touch and go with the various brands. Perhaps the liquid is thicker and therefore clogs up certain wicks quicker?

Refilling your Vapouriz Fuse

I used to love the Strawberry Mint flavour but they don’t make it anymore and I’m going to make them feel guilty about it for the rest of my life. Thankfully, I’ve learned that by mixing different flavours together, you can achieve various interesting combinations. I use Strawberry and Menthol Special Blend together and it’s kinda the same thing. Not exactly the same but kinda the same.

You can get pretty much any flavour you could think of too, plus mixing them together is great fun. Blueberry, Bubblegum, Gin and Tonic, Irish Coffee, Mango and Peach… Anything you could think of is right here plus they’ve got a super interesting range of Pocket Fuel juices for offer too. I tried Pink Fizz and literally fell in love with it!

Starting at just £4.99 for a 10ml bottle, these are definitely a contender for the best cheap e-liquids and I’d highly recommend having a closer look.

Delivery & Customer Services

Right, I had a pretty crappy time of things when I ordered this kit with the Groupon deal and I’m not sure who was at fault – Vapouriz or Groupon. The offer had stated that I should allow seven working days for delivery so on the ninth day, I checked my Groupon page and the order still hadn’t been fulfilled. I called up Vapouriz asking what was going on and she arranged for both mine (and Dan’s) to be sent out the same day for us to get it the very next day.

It didn’t come the next day.

The day after that I called Vapouriz customer services and spoke to the same girl. We had got Dan’s one but mine hadn’t arrived. I was now very annoyed especially as we had ordered them at exactly the same time in the first place.

She upgraded me ‘Special Saturday’ (the next day) and luckily that’s when I got it. By this point, I was super annoyed. Over three weeks after I had initially ordered the package, it turned up. Not impressed.

Like I said, I’m not sure who was to blame for the mix-up with my order and delivery. Every other e-liquid order I’ve ever made with Vapouriz has turned up promptly and the first one I order through Groupon goes haywire… I’ll let you make your own mind up.

Their customer services were helpful (even if I did need to call up twice to get the package here) and very pleasant. If you’ve ever got any problems, I’d recommend just giving them a call.

Delivery starts at £3.99 for standard delivery, but you can always pay for a faster service if you need it. For just under £10, they’ll offer you the Saturday Guaranteed delivery so it if it’s urgent, you know it will be there FAST!

Is Vapouriz Fuse The Best E-Cigarette?

I really liked the Vapouriz Fuze and it’s a really lightweight, funky looking personal vaporiser that anyone will like – there’s a colour to suit everyone. Plus it’s really easy to use once you’ve got the hang of that bottom-fed coil idea which comes with a whole host of benefits by itself! Great e-liquids and a decent range of accessories (plus other e-cigarettes and tanks) just add onto everything else and I was pleasantly surprised by the whole kit.

I’m going to rate the Vapouriz Fuse e-cigarette with 4.5 stars out of 5!

Perfect for any classic e-cig users looking to upgrade to a personal vaporiser!

  1. Hi where can I purchase replacement coil for the fuse please

    • Hi Karen, you can buy replacement coils for the Vapouriz Fuse on the website. I ordered some recently and paid £9.99 for 5. I find they last for ages though.
      Hope this helps 🙂

  2. Just received my fuse ecig been vaping for over 2 years and this product seems to be the best I’ve tried so far

  3. Hi,

Really good review. I am looking at getting one and normally smoke Mayfair smooth which have 8mg nicotine. The liquid states it has 18mg which is quite a bit more. Will I notice the difference?

    • Hi there, and thanks for your question!

Yes, you will notice the difference. I would probably recommend going for something along the 1.2% lines or lower. I was a 20-a-day B&H Silver smoker and I smoke 1.8% strength now, so I think it might be a bit too strong for you.

Hope this helps and remember, if you need urgent answers to your questions, feel free to give me a shout on the Facebook page!

  4. In same vein as review I recently put ön Vapouriz site re these Coils seems like I’m ne alone in asserting that longevity is a standout wi these coils and interesting point You make re Liquids effect ön Coils / Wicks which to delve into here wid be rather digressive save fae adding that Chinese emanations tend to clog / overheat / crack Tank Joint to Coil Shroud but I’ve managed to fix them and they’re again good as new so I think that bodes well fae Vapouriz overall quality lol!

  5. Hi ! Guys, where can i find Kent iFuse reserves .I want to buy one and i have no clue about it . I just smoked once and i realy like that e-tig . But i’m afraid i cant find tobaco for it .

  6. Hi there, I’m brand new to vaping. Just need some advice really. When I inhale the vapour feels so hot on my throat and it burns. Also the casing gets really hot after having it on for only a minute. It feels hot to touch. Is this normal?
Smoking is much less harsh on my throat and lungs.
Am I doing something wrong or could there be a fault? I have the fuse.

    • Hi! And thanks for your question.

Some e-cigs do get quite warm when you use them a lot. So, for example, if you were using the Vapouriz Fuse constantly for 10/15 minutes, I’d expect it to get a little warm. However hot doesn’t sound good. I don’t think my Fuse ever got really hot. Just a little warm.

What e-liquid strength are you using? It sounds as if it might be too strong for you so going down a strength level is smart. At the same time, if you’ve got a faulty e-cig itself, the e-liquid will taste awful regardless. I’d probably recommend getting in touch with their customer services department if you’ve done the usual stuff – pulling it apart, taking the coil out / changing the coil, putting it back together again and trying again – you may have a faulty one and if that’s the case, they’ll replace it for you. Try the e-liquid again with the new one and if you’re still finding it too strong, go down a strength level.

I hope that answers your questions. I don’t ever recall my Fuse getting hot-hot.

Vapouriz customer service details can be found here:

They also have a couple of shops open too. Take a peek and see if there’s one close to you so you can pop in.

Thanks for your comment and remember, you can always get in touch on Twitter & Facebook too! 🙂

  7. This e cig is really really crap!
In hot weather the liquid leaks from the pen, and im actually using more liquid because of this.
Ive got in total 3 batteries so didnt really want to switch to a different product, but i think i will have to.
Do not buy FUSE 650 E CIG
Unless you dont mind wasting bottles of e liquid daily
